Luke 7:24; And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed shaken with the wind? v25; But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings’ courts. v26; But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? Yea, I say unto you, and much more than a prophet. v27; This is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. (This is saying keep going.) “Don’t Get Stuck, Where God Was!” (An excuse, I go to church.) 1 Samuel 3:3; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; v4; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. v5; And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. (A perfect example of being stuck where God was.) (This response is like one reaching; Philippians 3:13; Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before.) “Don’t Get Stuck, Where God Was!” 1 Samuel 3:11; And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
