And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. New Year's Resolution;  "FOLLOW THROUGH"! Philippians 3:20; For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: v21; Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. A year of righteous, "FOLLOW THROUGH", is given in the parable of the sower. Mark 4:3; Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow: v4; (in this coming year you don't take breaks in the word) some fell by the way side. v5; stony ground, where it had not much earth: v6; sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered. (Reminds me of when Jesus saith; Matthew 26:40; What, could ye not watch with me one hour? v7; And the thorns grew up, and choked it. (James 1:14; But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.) But when you truly "FOLLOW THROUGH",all through the year. Mark 4:8; And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred. "FOLLOW THROUGH"; James 1:25; But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Greetings, In The Name Of Our Lord And Saviour Jesus Christ! A day of Acknowledgement; John 1:14; And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. Today; Proverbs 3:6; In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. But I caution your Observation; 1 Timothy 4:1; Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; v2; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron. He's telling you not to be horizontal; Job 7:4; When I lie down, I say, When shall I arise, and the night be gone? and I am full of tossing to and fro unto the dawning of the day. 1 Samuel 16:2; And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord. Your flesh would have you believe you need to bare that thing. But, you don't, think vertically; Romans 12:2; And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. STANDING STILL IN THE STORM! Mark 4:37-39; And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. You have to understand there will be storms in the church. 2 Timothy 3:12; Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. There will be storms. But, know; Matthew 28:20; And, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Mark 4:38; And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? Now when conditions don't change right away. You think about abandoning ship. You must realize; 2 Peter 2:20; For if after they have escaped the pollution of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. But, think likewise; Hebrews 4:15; For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. WHEN GLORY IS A POINT! God's moral beauty and perfection of character. Romans 3:23; For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; v27; Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 2 Corinthians 5:7; (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) Ephesians 4:26; Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: v27; Neither give place to the devil. WHEN GLORY IS A POINT! God's moral beauty and perfection as a visible presence. The glory of God shown in Christ; John 17:10; And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 2 Corinthians 3:18; But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:17; Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. WHEN GLORY IS A POINT! At times God's glory may mean the honor and audible praise which His creatures give to him. Psalm 115:1; NOT UNTO us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. 1 Thessalonians 5:18; In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. "IF I GO DOWN, I'M GONNA GO DOWN IN JERUSALEM! David built a palace situated in the highest section of the city, Mount Zion. Zion used figuratively of Israel; Isaiah 60:14; And they shall call thee, The City of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. Hebrews 12:22; But Ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels. Jerusalem; Matthew 5:14; Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Jerusalem; Anna; Luke 2:37; Which departed not from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day. v38; And spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem. Jerusalem, place of power; Luke 24:49; But tarry Ye in the city of Jerusalem, until Ye be endued with power from on high. Jerusalem, stay there; Hebrews 10:23; Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) Jerusalem, it stops there; 2 Samuel 24:16; And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. But they thought to do me mischief. (The irony is;) Romans 7:23; But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. (Remember he hadn't set doors at the gate yet;) 2 Peter 1:10; Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. One of the best kept secret, in times like these, that the church needs to take notice of; (Tis The Season) 1 John 2:16; For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Now, you say to yourself, I need to get myself ready for God's answer to me, about this season; Matthew 5:6; Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (FAST/SACRIFICE) Romans 12:1; That ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Then you will gain, the (FASTING EDGE). Luke 4:4; It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (FASTING EDGE) Luke 22:42; Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. Fasting is an invitation, to voluntarily  break out of the routine. 1 Peter 5:6; Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: v7; Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. DON'T LET WHAT YOU SAY, BE IN VAIN" (GET IN)! Elisha, showed his break with the farmer's life; 1 Kings 19:21; And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. (Wealthy or not, he was to be a prophet.) Hebrews 12:1; Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us. v2; Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. (GET IN!) 2 Kings 2:9; And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. Elijah, v10; If thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee. (That Elisha must be faithful to the end and that God must grant him the vision.) (GET IN!) John 15:7; If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. (GET IN WHERE?) Psalm 91:1; He that dwelleth IN the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (THEN WHATEVER YOU SAY WANT BE IN VAIN) v2; I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. GET IN!  Psalm 107:2; Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Apostle
 

These are true sayings; Hebrews 10:25; Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Ecclesiastes 4:9; Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. And even; Hebrews 12:14; Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. BUT IT'S PERSONAL! Even, Nicodemus, a man of the Pharisees, a ruler of the Jews knew that; John 3:2; The same came to Jesus by night. He got the personal part right, but he was wrong. He was looking for a one night stand. And Jesus was looking for relationship, personal. v3; Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. He goes on and get even more personal about relationship in; Matthew 5:20; For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. BUT IT'S PERSONAL! Comes clearer, when Paul said; Philippians 2:12; Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence (PERSONAL RE LA TION SHIP), work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. IT'S PERSONAL AND NOT A ONE NIGHTSTAND!  Apostle
 

"DON'T COUNT ME OUT (JUST YET)"! He told me; Matthew 4:4; It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. " DON'T COUNT ME OUT (JUST YET)"! He told me; Isaiah 55:11; So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it. "DON'T COUNT THIS THING OUT (JUST YET)"! He told the thing; Romans 8:28; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. v31; What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?"DON'T COUNT ME OUT (JUST YET)"! Isaiah 34:16; Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. 2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: v4; (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) That calls for the SWAT TEAM! Special Weapons And Tactical team; Jesus had it. Luke 22:31;  And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: v32; But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. SWAT TEAM! 2 Corinthians 10:5; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; v7; Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. SWAT TEAM! 1 Peter 4:12; Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you. SWAT TEAM! James 1:3-4; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. SWAT TEAM! Ephesians 6:10; Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. v11; Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Your habit? Hosea 11:7; And my people are bent to backsliding from me. Who? The ones that are blessed. Galatians 4:9; But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, where unto ye desire again to be in bondage? Jonah 1:3; But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarsius (a city in the opposite direction of Nineveh. Ships famous for it's possessions.) from the presence of the Lord, ( your prayer life, your studying your word and your assembling of yourselves.) and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, (you buy back into it.) and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. THE AWFUL CONSEQUENCES OF BACKSLIDING! v4; But the Lord sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken. (That's the Lord way of saying) Jeremiah 3:14; Turn, O backsliding children, saith the Lord; For I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: (Read v15) What mercy! THE CHURCH NEEDS TO DO "FAST"! Not something for you to do fast, afflicting your soul cause you want to be heard. Isaiah 58:3; Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou sees not? Wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takes no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. v4; Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard. Isaiah 64:6; But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. Acts 19:15; And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? For you to do fast, afflicting your soul cause you want to hear from the Lord. Isaiah 58:7; And that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? v8; Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy rearward. v9; Then shalt Thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity. SURE? "If nothing else", FOLLOW THE ANOINTING! 1 John 2:27; But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. WHY, NOT? FOLLOW THE ANOINTING! John 15:4; Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. v7; If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. WHY, NOT? FOLLOW THE ANOINTING! Zacchaeus, Luke 19:4; And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. Philippians 3:14; I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. WHY, NOT? FOLLOW THE ANOINTING! Luke 19:5; And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; For to day I must abide at thy house. v10; For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. WHY, NOT? FOLLOW THE ANOINTING! Isaiah 10:27; And the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. DON'T STOP LOOKING! Romans 8:18; For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 2 Timothy 2:12; If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us: v13; If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself. DON'T STOP LOOKING! Romans 8:19; For the earnest expectation of the creature waited for the manifestation of the sons of God. v20; For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. v21; Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Matthew 26:41; Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. DON'T STOP LOOKING! Romans 8:23; But ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. (REMEMBER) v15; For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. CROSS MY HEART, AND HOPE TO DIE! Matthew 16:24; Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. v25; For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 1 Peter 4:1; For as much then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; v2; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lust of men, but to the will of God. WHAT'S TAKING YOU SO LONG, TO DECIDE TO BE DIFFERENT? Now this doesn't mean you're better than anyone else. Romans 2:11; For there is no respect of persons with God. But, just decided a different way. John 14:6; I am the way, the truth, and the life. In doing so, you become; 1 Peter 2:9; But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. THAT'S DIFFERENT! 1 Peter 3:15; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: v16; Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. (Not just a talk about Christ, also a walk in Christ.) THAT'S DIFFERENT! 1 Peter 4:4; Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you: v5; Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead. (So many people thinks it's normal to react and act the same way. In response to the world. That's because they come subject to the things that are made, instead of, who actually made it. (See there is a difference.) Acts 5:29; Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men. DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE; TRYING TO GET SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED! Luke 9:25; For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away? 2 Corinthians 2:11; Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE; TRYING TO GET SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED! Acts 5:1; But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. v2; And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE; TRYING TO GET SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED! v4; Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. (The Lord is saying to us about possessions. OH, IT'S LIKE THAT?) v5; And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost. I'm telling you, DON'T LOSE WHAT YOU HAVE; TRYING TO GET SOMETHING YOU DON'T NEED! THERE'S A LEAK IN THIS OLD BUILDING, AND MY SOUL HAS GOT TO MOVE!
