There is a misconception in the church today, that you can have the Lord Jesus Christ, as much as you want; conception, is an idea that you have of it in your mind. Paul spoke of them on this wise. Romans 1:25; Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. Jesus even gave Peter a pop quiz on the subject. John 21:13; Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. v15; So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? "ALL OR NOTHING!" The problem here is. Matthew 6:24; No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Acts 5:1; But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession, v2; And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. Peter said; v4; Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. This misconception, cause you to lose more than you gain. v5; And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost. v6; And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. Paul summed it up this way. Galatians 4:9; But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? "ALL OR NOTHING!" Matthew 19:27; Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? v29; And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. v30; But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first. Forsaken in this instance; 2 Timothy 2:15; Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The word will show you how to do it. And at the same time, you can accomplish "ALL OR NOTHING!" Hebrews 12:14; Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: v15; Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God. "ALL OR NOTHING!" Teaching!
