“You Can’t Be To Rich!” The text today is not about you can’t have. But, instead, how to handle what you have. Matthew 6:24; No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other: or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Good example of what the text is all about is in Luke 18:22-27. Jesus was telling the rich young ruler he lackest one thing. What you have, you have to handle it differently. v23; And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. He didn’t want to except that his relationship with those things were to rich. Jesus was telling him you can’t have such closeness with other, and possess me and my things. v25; For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Now, if you didn’t know, let me remind you what cause. 1 Timothy 4:8; For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. “You Can’t Be To Rich!” The answer to the text today, is how to handle it. Well, in Genesis 13:2-15, The Lord uses Abram to teach us how to handle being to rich. v2; And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. v4; Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the Lord. v5; And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents. But, Abram knew that there was a lot too close to him, and he knew what it would cause with his relationship with God. It would mess with the agreeing. Amos 3:3; Can two walk together, except they be agreed? So Abram handle it; Genesis 13:8; And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren. v9; Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; of if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. Abram realized there was enough space to be had between them, to handle this. Hebrews 12:14; Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. “You Can’t Be To Rich!” 2 Corinthians 6:17; Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. The Lord is saying you can’t be with it that way. Handle it! “You Can’t Be To Rich!” What teaching! Overseer/Apostle
