Matthew 9:11; And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? v12; But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. (v13; But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.) The church today for the most part has this concept, that where and what they have in the Lord Jesus Christ is enough to be saved. I beg to differ. The Lord Jesus Christ is yet placing himself to eateth with us, from the head of the church to the least. 1 Corinthians 10:12; Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. Now, but go ye and learn what that meaneth. Today’s word at the table. “Living For Life!” Mark 12:42; And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. v43; And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: v44; For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living. WHAT THAT MEANETH? Luke 16:13; No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 1 Corinthians 9:24; Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. “Living For Life!” Luke 17:12; And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: v14; And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. v15; And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, v16; And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. v19; And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. WHAT THAT MEANETH? James 1:23; For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: v24; For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. v25; But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Not just showing yourself, but seeing yourself. “Living For Life!” Galatians 5:13; For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. “Living For Life!” Go Ye And Learn What That Meaneth?
