“A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” John 1:1; In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. v4; In him was life; and the life was the light of men. Jesus manifested in the flesh, exhibited just that, to show example of it living in the world; Matthew 4:1; Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. The wilderness, a world full of wondering; James 1:8; A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Matthew 4:2; And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. I want to use this to point out any lengthy absence of a worldliness, will bring a lust of it from your flesh. Galatians 5:17; For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Matthew 4:3; And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. When you are a dependent of the Word, worldly circumstances and situations will always challenge you. You just have to maintain your status, a dependent of the Word; John 1:5; And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Matthew 4:4; But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. You being a dependent of the Word will dictate to your flesh, the plan that you use. 1 Corinthians 10:13; There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. All that which is mention above can only take place on a continuous basis. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” But there are those that are picky, pick certain scriptures, to avoid conflict with the flesh. That’s losing the knowledge to know. Acts 8:13; Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. When you are not totally a dependent of the Word. You will have wonderings; 2 Corinthians 5:6; Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. Acts 8:18; And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, v19; Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. Being picky cause him to lose being dependent. At that time he was in default with the Word. 1 Timothy 5:18; For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. Acts 8:20; But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Picky is a lost; Galatians 3:3; Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Acts 8:21; Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” Purpose; Romans 8:28; And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” More; Romans 8:37; Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” Knowledge; John 8:31; If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed. v32; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” Deny you; James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” A Presence; Hebrews 12:2; Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. “A DEPENDENT OF THE WORD!” Teaching!
