“FASTING-FAST!” Yes it’s about bringing your flesh under subjection. But also it’s about moving the word of God, fast on your behalf. Galatians 5:17; For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. v18; But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. “FASTING-FAST!” 1 Kings 19:18; Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. (Another take of v18; John 8:31; If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; v32; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.) 1 Kings 19:19; So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. (Fasting will allow the word in you, to continue moving at a fast pace. 1 Corinthians 9:27; But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. That’s how Elijah was able to move on. “FASTING-FAST!” 1 Kings 19:20; And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? (Fasting will get rid of two opinions; 1 Kings 18:21; How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. That’s you being cautious. Once that’s done away with, the word moves faster on your behalf. 1 Corinthians 9:24; Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. One is being put down the other being lifted up.) “FASTING-FAST!” 1 Kings 19:21; And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him. (A fast is to speed the word up. Getting stuff out the way. Even though he went back, it was for the word sake. Philippians 2:12; Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. When you are on a fast, the word moves faster in your life, there is no lingering. Think of it this way to get you up to speed. Colossians 3:2; Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. “FASTING-FAST!” Hebrews 4:12; For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Now, that’s fast...ing!) “FASTING-FAST!” Teaching! Overseer/Apostle
