“HE’S TIME CONSUMING!” 1 Samuel 3:1; And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision. v2; And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; v3; And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep; (These things will happen if you take time out; Matthew 24:12; And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.) 1 Samuel 3:4; That the Lord called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I. v7; Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, neither was the word of the Lord yet revealed unto him. v9; Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. v10; And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth. (These things take time; 1 Peter 5:6; Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: v7; Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.) 1 Samuel 3:11; And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. (Time will tell; Galatians 5:25; If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.) “HE’S TIME CONSUMING!” 1 Samuel 3:15; And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision. (Flesh will always attempt to mess with your timing; Galatians 5:17; For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.) 1 Samuel 3:18; And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good. (Taking its time; Ecclesiastes 9:11; I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.) 1 Samuel 3:19; And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. v20; And all Israel from Dan even to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the Lord. (Time consumed; 1 Peter 5:10; But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.) “HE’S TIME CONSUMING!” Teaching!
