“THE END OF ME!” Judges 11:1; Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of an harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah. v2; And Gilead’s wife bare him sons; and his wife’s sons grew up, and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman. A lost consciousness with the church of today is a life without salvation is not of the Lord. Leviticus 10:10; And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean. Judges 11:3; Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him. You must know for yourselves, what’s at a particular time in the Lord. What’s in your flesh that’s holding you back, in the Lord? 2 Corinthians 13:5; Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Judges 11:4; And it came to pass in process of time, that the children of Ammon made war against Israel. There comes a time that you really have to make up your mind, cause that’s the only way you’re going to start to end. 2 Timothy 2:15; Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Judges 11:28; Howbeit the king of the children of Ammon hearkened not unto the words of Jephthah which he sent him. Now, you will always have a good saying in your flesh what you intent to do in the Lord. But it’s never a doing. Romans 8:8; So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. “THE END OF ME!” Judges 11:30; And Jephthah vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou shalt without fail deliver the children of Ammon into mine hands, v31; Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh forth of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the Lord’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. A vow can be looked at as a submission hold on yourself. James 4:7; Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. “THE END OF ME!” Judges 11:32; So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the Lord delivered them into his hands. 2 Corinthians 4:7-11; v11; For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. “THE END OF ME!” Judges 11:34; And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter. v35; And it came to pass, when he saw her, that he rent his clothes, and said, Alas, my daughter! thou hast brought me very low, and thou art one of them that trouble me: for I have opened my mouth unto the Lord, and I cannot go back. The above two verses depicts a state of being, when you are ending. Philippians 3:8; Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ. “THE END OF ME!” Judges 11:36; And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the Lord, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch as the Lord hath taken vengeance for thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon. v39; And it came to pass at the end of two months, that she returned unto her father, who did with her according to his vow which he had vowed: and she knew no man. And it was a custom in Israel.
