I heard a preacher, ministering on RIGHTEOUS BELIEVING, BRINGS RIGHTEOUS LIVING. Romans 5:19; For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. And they stress that it was not by works, but instead by faith, correct. But, they didn't explain, so that left it one sided. Romans 6:16; Know ye not, then that whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? These are works y'all. RIGHTEOUS BELIEVING, BRINGS RIGHTEOUS LIVING. That subject matter gives a beginning and a end. But, it leaves out the middle. Ephesians 2:9; Not of works, lest any man should boast. I want to explain, basically it's saying your flesh can't do it right. But, not meaning you don't do nothing. It's by who you do it, spirit and not the flesh. You can; Romans 10:9; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. That in itself is dead. Romans 6:13; But yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. Now, this is a work. Let him deny himself; Luke 9:23, Lay aside every weight and the sin; Hebrews 12:1; Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise; Ephesians 5:15.
